Tapas Brindisa, Soho

A refurbishment of a grade 2* listed building in Soho. The design centres around a dramatic double height space to the rear. The existing character and texture of the original building is exposed and contrasted with our contemporary interventions including handmade glazed and encaustic tiles. A new kitchen to the rear provides a focal point for the restaurant and drawers customers through to the central “courtyard”.

Applied Studio developed a number of bespoke details including the furniture and a bespoke wall light for the project which includes a hand made ceramic shade.

The project was about elevating the existing features of the listed building. This amazing space was already there, we just needed to uncover and enhance it.
