Patrick Abrams
Patrick Abrams founded Applied Studio in 2016 after 8 years as an associate at Michaelis Boyd Associates. Applied Studio was established as a multidisciplinary architecture and interior design studio focusing on design led projects across a wide range of typologies. He set up Applied Studio in order to achieve his architectural ambitions and to provide a personal contribution to cultural society. Applied Studio was established from Patrick’s experience and dedication to his three core values - design, service and rigour.

James Gardener
James Gardener joined Applied Studio in 2021 and oversees our large projects and architectural sections of the practice. James previously worked in several internationally reknowned and award winning practices on a range of innovative and challenging architectural projects of various scales and typologies. James is passionate about finding opportunities to integrate the sustainability agenda into Applied Studio projects wherever possible and reinforces this with his rigorous technically minded approach to design and detailing.
